Funds
Bond Dollar
Investment Objective
The objective of the Fund is to obtain a higher total return greater than the USD bond market through an actively managed strategy. The Fund invests at least 50% in negotiable USD debt instruments issued by governments and/or companies with an investment grade rating. The remaining assets may be invested in non-investment grade bonds.
Investment Philosophy
This Sub-fund shall be mainly exposed, either directly or indirectly (including through shares and/or units of UCITS and/or other investment funds and/or financial derivatives), to bonds, all denominated in US dollars, issued by a country and/or by companies. These bonds shall be rated investment grade by a recognized ratings agency. In the event that these issues are unrated, they shall be selected on the basis of their issuers’ rating. The Sub-fund may also use bond indices.
The remainder of the Sub-Fund’s net assets may be invested, either directly or indirectly (including through shares and/or units of UCITS and/or other UCIs and/or financial derivatives), in bonds, including in non-traditional bonds (such as perpetual bonds (up to 15% of the Sub-Fund’s net assets), convertible bonds, contingent convertible bonds (up to 15% of the Sub-Fund’s net assets), etc.) and/or bond indices denominated in any currency, irrespective of the issuer’s rating.
Derivatives are used for the purpose of good management of the portfolio, as well as for hedging.
The investment currencies are not necessarily identical to the Sub-Fund’s benchmark currency. The resulting foreign exchange exposure is not systematically hedged, but is actively managed by the Fund Manager.
The sub-fund is actively managed in an environment of rigorous risk control.
